March is a tease. In the course of a week, I have seen sleet AND had my cheeks pinked by a warm, sunny day. This moody month just cannot make up her mind. Just when I think this is going to be the weekend I swap out my closet, something has me diving back into my warmest pullover. Thank you, Lorae, for searching for the best styles for the in-between season on the Company Memo. Happy almost-not-yet spring!

Celebrating Women
In light of this week’s celebration of International Women’s Day, I want to draw your attention to a few female artists worth knowing. You may have seen the Obama’s National Portraits unveiled in February but what you may not know is that Michelle Obama’s portrait was painted by a Baltimore artist who is a woman. I have been patiently waiting to take my daughters to see the portraits. With spring break ahead, maybe we can squeeze in a trip to the National Portrait Gallery. (Added Bonus: it is free and there is also a beautiful exhibit featuring the life and work of Sylvia Plath.)
Bags with Impact
Many moons ago, I received a gift from my husband, a bag that made an impact from FEED. This accessory line creates goods that help feed families all over the world. They work with cooperatives to produce products that are environmentally friendly and provide fair and safe labor conditions. I used my bag until it was tattered at the shoulders! Since 2007, Lauren Bush Lauren’s—yes, she is a Bush family member who married Ralph Lauren’s son—FEED accessory line has grown ten-fold. This month, FEED is celebrating the impact of women who inspire with a special collection of bags by four women on a mission: Arianna Huffington, Cleo Wade, Ulla Johnson and Julia Turshen. You can follow along on their Instagram and Facebook feeds all month long as they celebrate amazing women and the work they do.
Target’s New Designer Collaboration
I love having daughters who still allow me to shop for them. I remember when GAP Kids did a collaboration with Diane Von Furstenburg. I was so excited to find pint-sized fashion for my girls. Now that mine are getting older, we have shed some of the sweet brands that they used to wear but it doesn’t mean that I can’t admire them from afar. Pink Chicken just launched a adorable collection at Target and you need to grab a few pieces. Pink Chicken’s designer line can be pricey, but their Target line is perfect for your wallet. Their sizes range from 3 months to 12 in girls. Their dresses would make the perfect for Easter Sunday and could easily carry into summer. (They also have some holiday items on sale too, so buy ahead for next year and save some coin). But make sure you move fast, these designer collaborations never last long.
Growing Artists
Clarmont Clays just launched on Etsy/Instagram and you will want to follow along. I love supporting growing artists and Claremont Clays is a one of a kind, hand-mixed and molded polymer gifts. Sydni Smith is the sister of blogger that I follow and I think she has some beautiful pieces that would make wonderful gift or perfect accent for your home. Her colors are gorgeous and there is everything from classic to bold depending on your taste, not to mention her price point is awesome. My favorites are her fancy squares, marbled and impressed plates, and the oblong scalloped oval.
Changing of the Closet
I have been watching and waiting to change over the closest but until then, here are a few items that I am loving to help transition into spring while temperatures are still a little moody. You can see how our blogger friends have styled them and I linked where you can find them:
