Company Memo: Vegetable-Dyed Totes, La Croix Pina Coladas, and Instaspiration

Lorae is on her way to the beach this weekend, but is back on the blog for today’s Company Memo. Her Coconut La Croix Pina Colada recipe already sent me on a wild goose chase to the grocery store. What supermarket carries coconut La Croix, I ask you?! As soon as I find it, my weekend bev station is open. And today is my birthday! So, a cocktail is already on my list of things to do. Over the last few weeks, I’ve focused on jewelry on The Memo, but today I’m heading over to handbags. Meanwhile Back On The Farm is an emerging accessory line that is establishing roots. These handbags began their journey at local farmers markets and continue to grow from their hometown of Lynchburg, VA. The bags are handcrafted, hued with beautifully saturated vegetable dye, evoking the perfect pop of Liberty of London handbags with the just-right balance of classic sensibility and fashion flare. Think Barbour meets tote bags. If I had to pick three favorites right now, they are the camouflage wax canvas adventure-tote, orange wax canvas adventure tote, and rover yellow wax canvas make-up bag. As I head to the coast this weekend for our last family hurrah, I’d love to throw one of their blue trucker Lynchburg hats in my beach bag too.

Some of us were back at the grind this week with kids heading off to school, and others still have a few weeks before we have to dip our toes in the water. I love following Cooking Light for their fresh take on food and drinks, but here is one beverage for adults only! My favorite time of night is after my children are in bed, and my hubby mixes a quick cocktail to unwind. This Coconut La Croix Pina Colada is the perfect easy cocktail solution for the end of summer.

Pentatonix is an ensemble that my children and I found in August 2015 when they released Can’t Sleep Love. If you don’t know them, you can download any of their songs on iTunes. Several months ago they published their version of Imagine; it was shared by a friend of my this week and, in light of the week we have endured, it made The Memo. You can’t watch it without chills. (Their version of Hallelujah is another stunner).
