5 Last-Minute Father’s Day Gifts He’ll Love

June 12, 2018

For the last few weeks, my kids have been hunting around for Father’s Day gifts for my husband. They found an iron-on nametag that says “My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.” (Princess Bride? Anybody?) They also landed on ice cube molds shaped like the Star Wars Death Star and a whiskey glass with a .308 bullet incased in it. These kids. As they handed me their saved allowance money to pay for the gifts, I thought about how much our babes adore their daddy.

Now it was my turn to buy for Father’s Day. Just like the kids, I went searching for ideas and googled things like “Best Father’s Day Gifts Ever!”. What I found was the same old, same old. How many leather wallets, bbq tools, and drills can a guy have? So, I went scouring and found a few things that my guy would truly appreciate unwrapping this Sunday. They are both splurge and steal, so check your budget and make your last-minute list!

Arbonne’s RE9 Advanced for Men – I’m pretty sure my guy still washes his face with Dove soap in the shower. If at all. So I picked up a few pieces from Arbonne’s RE9 for Men collection to help instill a few new skincare habits. The best part? All RE9 for Men products are 25% off through this Friday!

Blade and Bow Whiskey – As bourbon whiskies go, this one is a splurge. It also happens to be the best. Blade and Bow is crafted from the Stitzel-Weller distillery in Kentucky. The last time I brought it home for my bourbon loving husband, I thought he might shed a tear. This year, he’ll be sipping it in that bullet glass with the Death Star ice mold from the kids!

Pack Up + Go – If you are like us, quiet trips with your hubby have been replaced by full-on family vacations—hence the reason why you are celebrating Father’s Day. But there is something to be said about getting away with your Baby Daddy every now and then, just the two of you. Welcome Pack Up + Go, a travel company providing fully planned 3-day weekend destinations for couples with one catch: the location is a surprise. Set your budget, complete a survey, and Pack Up + Go does the rest. Give him the gift that directly benefits you, too!

23andMe – For a gift well out of the ordinary, try the ancestry service from 23andMe this Father’s Day. Using DNA genetic testing and analysis, participants get a global picture of their ancestry and can explore DNA relatives around the world. A 23andMe kit is 30% off through Father’s Day.

Calypso by David Sedaris – When Graham and I made a cross-country move to Washington state early in our marriage, we read aloud Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris to pass the time in the car. I don’t know how we saw to drive, we laughed so hard. Many books later, Sedaris is just out with Calypso, a collection of essays that appears to mix light-hearted and dark humor together as only he can.
