I have long-admired the photography work of my friend Signe Clayton. A dual citizen of Denmark and the United States, Signe is a remarkably talented and authentic human being; she is so generous with her craft that I often find her documenting get-togethers with girlfriends or sharing tips on photography and videography with amateurs like me. I was pleased to have Signe document my family for a Storytelling Session last weekend and I am delighted to introduce her on the blog today! You . . .
I met my friend Janean over breakfast. We both attended the same MOPS group when our children were just babes. We mothers would come in bleary-eyed from months of lack of sleep; we'd fill our coffee cups and our plates and enjoy the first real meal we'd had that week. Janean always brought in the most delicious breakfast items and I soon learned that she beautifully nurtures others through food. Earlier this year, Janean took her loves of food and people and became the Fredericksburg Foodie. She . . .
On Friday, I celebrated the seventh anniversary of my 30th year as my husband so elegantly put it on our way out to dinner that night. I love his sense of humor, y'all, but I have to say, I am not really concerned about inching closer to the Big 4-0. Lorae is on her way to the beach this weekend, but is back on the blog for today's Company Memo. Her Coconut La Croix Pina Colada recipe already sent me on a wild goose chase to the grocery store. What supermarket carries coconut La Croix, I ask you?! As soon as I find it, my weekend bev station is open. And today is my birthday! So, a cocktail is already on my list of things to do. Enjoy the Company Memo. I'm off to the grocery store. Want: Vegetable-Dyed Totes Over the last few . . .
I have been dying to introduce you to my friend Lesley-Ann Tommey. So much of the inspiration for this little blog came from her. LA is a creative genius, a light-chasing photographer, and has a heart of gold. We sat down after work earlier this year at a tiny restaurant in Charlottesville to sketch out my idea for In Her Company and to brainstorm a logo. About two seconds later, she had something, and the rest is history. This fall, Lesley-Ann and her husband, Blake, will be moving to New York . . .
