Meet Lorae
Lorae is from Baltimore, MD and is a regular contributor to In Her Company. Lorae is a pop culture aficionado and a finder of all things fabulous and thrifty. Her husband and two darling girls are the loves of her life. Lorae gives back by volunteering at Reading Partners in Baltimore City Schools, Girls on the Run, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. She is a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor and is passionate about access to mental health resources for all, a journey which led her to the floor of Maryland’s House of Representatives resulting in a bill requiring all school personnel to complete annual training to identify and respond to students in crisis and at risk of suicide. Lorae is the creative director and writer of the Company Memo series posted each Friday on the blog.
Meet Janean
Janean Miller is the Fredericksburg Foodie and keeps her readers and Insta followers in the know about the Fredericksburg and Northern Virginia culinary scene. A food blogger since 2009, Janean loves creative takes on traditional recipes, new and upcoming restaurants, and a good oyster roast. She is mom to two awesome kids and wife to Shawn whose job as a pilot jet sets the family to great vacation spots on the regular. You can find Janean biking downtown, boating on the Potomac, or perusing the Fredericksburg Farmers Market on any given weekend. You’ll also find her every month on the blog for a perfectly palatable food feature.
